The job site is in Ashcroft, BC. The project consists of construction of a residential apartment building. We are looking for one individual to fill the position of our onsite Certified First Aid Attendant, Safety Officer, and assist with General Construction Labour around the site as directed (mostly cleaning up construction debris).

Qualifications:

• Must have valid certification for WorkSafeBC first aid training. Required - Basic First Aid (formerly OFA Level 1), bonus if candidate has Intermediate First Aid (formerly OFA Level 2)
• Knowledge of WCB Standards and Regulations.
• Previous experience in a constructionenvironment preferred.
• Reliable, with clear communication skills and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Available for full time, Monday to Friday, day shifts
• Steel toed boots required.

Key Responsibilities:

First Aid:

• Provide prompt and professional first aid care to workers in the event of an injury, illness, or emergency.
• Monitor and maintain the site’s first aid supplies, ensuring equipment is fully stocked and compliant.
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports and documentation as required by WorkSafeBC or other relevant bodies.

Safety:

• Greet all visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a clean working environment.
• Monitor workers for compliance with safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and site safety rules.
• Enforce worker adherence to company safety policies and procedures, issuing warnings or stop-work orders when necessary.
• Conduct safety orientation sessions and fill out paperwork for new workers and subcontractors.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote safety awareness and compliance.
• Ensure that safety signage, hazard communication, and documentation are always up to date and visible.
• Provide daily activity logs.

General Construction Labour:

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions on an active construction site.
• Must be physically fit to handle frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
