SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 74 (GOLD TRAIL) Payroll Assistant/Employee Relief Dispatch RELIEF External School Year Date Position to be Filled Rate of Pay/Hour Date of Posting 2024-2025 2025-2026 March 3, 2025- October 15, 2025 Payroll Assistant $34.01 Dispatch $30.39 14 January 2025 Posting Number Location Hours of Work Specific Information EXT.04.SBO- Payroll_Dispatch Relief R2 TBD Payroll 6 hrs/day (30 hrs/week) Dispatch - 2 hrs/day (10 hrs/week) 6:30 a.m. start Relief Position DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the Finance Manager and the Secretary-Treasurer, performs payroll, benefits and dispatch functions. The successful applicant is expected to: Work alone early in the morning, using the employee relief dispatch system, telephone and e-mail Perform data entry Assign and dispatch relief employees to job sites Prepare daily dispatch reports for schools Prepare information for payroll department Prepare and process District payrolls Process payroll liability billing and reconcile payroll and benefits liabilities accounts Prepare and process payroll accounts receivable billings Prepare and process all payroll and benefit forms Perform payroll and accounting year-end procedures Administer payroll and accounting computer system Administer benefit packages for all employee groups Perform other job related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION(S): Grade 12 plus successful completion of recognized payroll training program covering payrolls for hourly and salaried employees (ie.

CEBS or equivalent 2 year program) Two years previous experience in a related field Previous experience working in a small, multipayroll department Must be able and willing to work in a setting with a high degree of confidentiality Exemplary telephone communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work with minimal direct supervision Proficiency with MS Office Suite Technological proficiency with learning new software applications APPLICATIONS: In writing, with details of previous related experience, qualifications and abilities not later than 4:00 p.m. on 28 January 2025.
