Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various machining tools and equipment. This role involves fabricating and assembling components according to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. The Machinist will work closely with other team members to interpret blueprints and execute manufacturing processes efficiently.

Duties

• Operate manual and CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal lathes, to fabricate parts as per specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements
• Assemble components using hand tools and machinery, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency in production processes
• Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the machining process
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating machinery

Requirements

• Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery for fabrication tasks
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical documentation
• Experience with SolidWorks for designing parts or assemblies is preferred
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices is a plus
• Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred)
• Excellent mechanical knowledge with problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Previous experience in a machining or manufacturing environment is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
