The cook champions exemplary food services that provide our residents and their visitors with life quality and delicious, nutritious dining experiences. The Cook prepares meals according to a prescribed menu plan that reflects the dietary needs and choices of seniors within the Residence.

Key Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Community Manager, ensures residents are offered nourishing, varied and balanced meals and snacks prepared in accordance with the standardized recipes and a rotating menu plan. Also, in considering Resident feedback. take appropriate actions to continuously improve food quality and service.

Maintains the Residence kitchen, including receiving and storing meats, poultry, fresh vegetables, fruits and staples. Ensures all staff involved with food service observe safe food handling procedures. Demonstrates safe food handling protocols and policies while preparing, serving. Maintains and follows sanitation procedures in kitchen.

Must enjoy working with seniors and have experience in food volume preparation. Food Safe is required.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $22.34 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
