Description

The Maintenance Planner, is responsible for providing detailed work plans in line with maintenance strategies and site requirements that improve the efficiency and performance of the Maintenance Department. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You must be self-motivated and collaborate well with a team. The ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands and remain flexible and organized in a fast-paced environment is vital.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Manage work backlogs for accuracy, while considering requirements related to parts, labour, permits, drawings, facilities, support equipment, special equipment, tooling, and instructions
  • Maintain an accurate forecast that adheres to established maintenance strategies, while supporting best-in-class asset management strategies
  • Assist with monthly cost forecasting, annual budgeting, and cost analysis
  • Work regularly with maintainers to build or improve detailed work packages
  • Track and report Key Performance Indicators, bringing forward continuous improvement opportunities
  • Commission and decommission equipment, and manage their maintenance programs

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in a related subject area, or a combination of relevant education and experience in trades or planning
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Experience with Maximo software, an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Location & Other Key Details:

  • You will work out of a mine site near Kamloops, BC
  • Position is full-time, temporary for 4 months, with possibility of extension.
  • Hours of work may vary, Monday to Friday

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
