Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Food Safety Administrator to oversee food safety programs, manage inventory levels, coordinate packaging, and handle invoicing for produce. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and timely delivery of our products to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and products to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address food safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry trends, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate food safety incidents and coordinate with regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular counts, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment.
- Coordinate packaging of products, including selecting appropriate packaging materials, overseeing labeling requirements, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Generate and process invoices for produce sales, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of billing.
- Maintain documentation and record-keeping systems related to food safety, inventory, packaging, and invoicing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, USDA, and GMPs.
- Experience with food safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with inventory management systems and invoicing software is preferred.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, SQF, PCQI) is highly desirable.
