Infracon Construction's Minex division is seeking a hardworking, experienced Labourer to support our operations at the Campbell Hill landfill located in Cache Creek, BC.
Locals close to the project site will be given preference for this opportunity. The shift will be Monday - Friday, 10 hours per day with potential for weekend work.
The ideal candidates have previous labouring experience and must be accountable, reliable, and adaptable to all working conditions.

Successful candidate(s) will participate in safety meetings, hazard assessment (JHA, FLHA…etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean work site, load / unload materials, assist in seaming liners and removing workplace hazards.
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
- Picking up garbage and debris as necessary.
- Safely operating small equipment such as packers, skid steers.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites as requested
- Sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
- Perform work following all construction safety protocols and programs
- Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork
- Other responsibilities to support the safe and successful completion of the project.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ construction industry experience is preferred
- Previous experience with performing liner installations is ideal
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence is preferred.
- Small equipment operation (packer, skid steer) experience is considered an asset
- Completion of CSTS-2020, Ground Disturbance, and Confined space training will be required prior to commencing the project.
- Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow directions closely
- Comfortable working in high-stress environment with weather fluctuations
- Familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures
- Valid Driver's License and clean drivers abstract
- Drug and Alcohol testing as applicable
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Work is outdoors, and conditions may include extreme temperatures and uneven ground. Position requires employee to frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, reach and kneel.
