Lovett Dance operates three studios located in Ashcroft, Chase, and Savona, B.C. As primarily recreational studios, we are seeking a fun-loving teacher who is passionate about sharing their love of dance with our students.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a background in dance. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for educating students in various dance styles and fostering a love for dance. The teacher must have a valid driver's license, as the position may require working at multiple locations.
Duties:
- Teach dance classes to students of all ages and skill levels
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum to engage students
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills
- Choreograph dance routines for performances and recitals
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate events and performances
Experience:
- Previous experience in teaching dance
- Knowledge of different genres of dance such as contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet, or lyrical
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
